Shantam Srivastava

I am a Doctoral student in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University at Buffalo, SUNY, advised by Dr. Mingchen Gao.

My research interest is focused on Computer Vision and Representation Learning, emphasising on improving the fidelity of multimodal downstream tasks. I enjoy diving deep into the nitty-gritties of deep neural architectures and understand key weaknesses.

Before this, I was an MS CS student at SUNY Buffalo during which I discovered my passion for research and thus transferred to a PhD. I also enjoy tinkering with locally hosted LLMs and find intellectual fulfillment in reading systems ML papers like Flash Attention
